British India 1882 Victoria One Rupee silver coin issued during the reign of Queen Victoria as Empress of India. The reverse displays ONE RUPEE INDIA 1882 within an ornate floral wreath, while the obverse features the crowned and robed portrait of Queen Victoria facing left with the legend VICTORIA EMPRESS. This coin is the Calcutta Mint variety of the KM 492 series. It is struck in .917 fine silver, weighing approximately 11.66 grams and measuring about 30.79 mm in diameter.
