Straits Settlements 1891 One Cent Queen Victoria Coin

A 1901 Straits Settlements 1 Cent coin issued during the reign of Queen Victoria. The reverse features the denomination 1 inside a beaded circle, with STRAITS SETTLEMENTS above and ONE CENT 1891 below. The obverse carries the crowned left facing portrait of Queen Victoria with the inscription VICTORIA QUEEN, designed by Leonard Charles Wyon. This bronze coin was part of the standard circulation coinage of the Straits Settlements, a British colonial territory in Southeast Asia. The coin shown has a dark brown patina with significant surface wear and corrosion, particularly on the portrait side, giving it an aged circulated appearance.
