Germany 2024 5 Euro commemorative collector coin featuring the Steinhummel, or Red-Tailed Bumblebee. This coin is part of Germany’s “Wonderful World of Insects” series and was issued on 7 November 2024 as the ninth and final coin in the series.

The obverse features a detailed Red-Tailed Bumblebee (Steinhummel) collecting nectar from a flower, with partial colour applied to the bee’s body. The reverse shows the German Federal Eagle along with “BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND”, 5 EURO, 2024 and the mint mark J for the Hamburg Mint.

The coin is made of copper-nickel alloy, weighs 9.68 grams and has a diameter of 27.25 mm. It was produced in both Stempelglanz (mint brilliant) and Spiegelglanz (proof-like) qualities.
