Germany 2024 5 Euro Hirschkafer Stag Beetle Partially Coloured Coin UNC

Germany 2024 5 Euro commemorative collector coin featuring the Hirschkäfer, or Stag Beetle. This coin is the eighth issue in Germany’s “Wonderful World of Insects” (Wunderwelt Insekten) series, which consists of nine partially coloured 5 Euro coins issued between 2022 and 2024. The Hirschkäfer coin was officially issued on 26 September 2024.

The obverse features a detailed male Stag Beetle with its characteristic large mandibles, surrounded by oak leaves and acorns representing its natural habitat. The beetle has a partially coloured black and brown design, with “HIRSCHKÄFER” inscribed along the edge.

The reverse features the German Federal Eagle, “BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND”, denomination 5 EURO, year 2024, twelve European stars and the mint mark “D” for the Munich Mint.

The coin is made of copper-nickel alloy, weighs 9.68 grams and has a diameter of 27.25 mm. It was issued in Stempelglanz and Spiegelglanz qualities.
