The reverse features ONE RUPEE INDIA 1893 surrounded by an intricate floral wreath, while the obverse depicts the crowned and robed bust of Queen Victoria facing left with the legend VICTORIA EMPRESS. This is the Calcutta Mint variety with the Type C bust and Type I reverse, catalogued as KM 492.
