Great Britain 1838 Six Pence Queen Victoria Silver Coin

A historic Great Britain 1838 Six Pence silver coin issued during the early reign of Queen Victoria. The obverse features the young uncrowned portrait of Queen Victoria facing left, with the legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR REG F D around the portrait. The reverse displays the denomination SIX PENCE beneath a crown, surrounded by a combined laurel and oak wreath, with the date 1838 below. The coin was struck at the Royal Mint London and was designed by William Wyon and Jean Baptiste Merlen. It is composed of 92.5% silver, with a standard weight of approximately 2.83 grams and diameter of approximately 19.3 mm. The edge is reeded.
