China 2025 Year of the Snake 20 Yuan Commemorative Polymer Banknote Unc

2025 China Year of the Snake 20 Yuan commemorative banknote issued by the People’s Bank of China to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year. The obverse features a colorful traditional-style snake design, the Chinese character “蛇” (Snake), National Emblem, denomination 20, transparent window, holographic elements and serial number. The reverse depicts children putting up Spring Festival couplets, complemented by traditional Shanxi-style residential architecture and festive floral designs. The note is made of polymer and includes advanced security features such as a transparent window, dynamic hologram, optically variable “20” and intaglio printing. Face value is 20 Yuan, size 145 × 70 mm, with an official issue quantity of 100 million notes. Issued on 16 December 2024 for the 2025 Year of the Snake Lunar New Year.
