Burma Overprint Issue 1 Rupee 1940 C E Jones Signed Banknote

This is a genuine 1 Rupee banknote from 1940 issued by the Government of India specifically for Burma circulation under George VI.

The front features King George VI along with a red overprint stating “BURMA – ONE RUPEE – CURRENCY BOARD – LEGAL TENDER IN BURMA ONLY”. It is signed by C.E. Jones.

The reverse contains ornamental designs and multilingual inscriptions.

Condition is Very Fine (VF) showing folds, minor stains, and circulation wear, but still a well-preserved collectible note.
