British India 1/2 Pice 1891 Victoria Empress Copper Coin

British India 1/2 Pice 1891 copper coin issued during the reign of Queen Victoria as Empress of India. The obverse features the crowned portrait of Victoria facing left with the legend VICTORIA EMPRESS around the portrait. The reverse displays the denomination 1/2 PICE, the inscription INDIA, and the year 1891, enclosed within an ornate floral wreath and beaded inner border. This issue was struck at the Calcutta Mint and carries no mint mark. The coin is part of the Victoria Empress copper coinage of British India and is an attractive piece for collectors of British India and Victorian-era Indian coins.
