Bombay Mint 1954 Anna Series Three Copper Nickel Coins Set

A collectible set of three original 1954 Republic of India Anna Series coins, featuring the denominations 2 Annas, 1 Anna and Half Anna. These coins belong to India’s first Republic coinage series, introduced on 15 August 1950, featuring the Lion Capital of Ashoka on the obverse and a Zebu bull motif on the reverse.

The set includes three different denominations, each dated 1954. These pre-decimal coins represent India’s historic currency system, in which 1 Rupee was equal to 16 Annas. An interesting addition for collectors of vintage Indian coins and Republic India numismatic collections.
