1/2 Pice 1894 Victoria Empress Coin

British India 1/2 Pice 1894 copper coin issued during the reign of Queen Victoria, bearing the title Empress of India. The obverse features the crowned portrait of Queen Victoria facing left with the legend VICTORIA EMPRESS around the portrait. The reverse displays 1/2 PICE INDIA 1894 within a beaded circle surrounded by an ornate floral wreath. This type was struck at the Calcutta Mint and is identified as KM#484. The 1894 issue had a recorded mintage of 7,776,882 coins.
