Two Rupees of British India of C D Deshmukh Note

This is a British India 2 Rupees note signed by C. D. Deshmukh.

The front side shows a portrait of King George VI in royal attire on the right, with the text “RESERVE BANK OF INDIA” and a promise to pay the bearer “TWO RUPEES” in the center. The serial number and the governor’s signature are at the bottom, and “TWO RUPEES” is printed on both sides.

The back side features the Reserve Bank of India seal with a tiger and palm tree in the center, denomination in various Indian languages on the left, and “TWO RUPEES / RUPEES TWO” at the bottom. The note has a pink-violet color tone and ornate borders, making it a classic example of colonial-era Indian currency.
