Description
1940 British India 1/4 Rupee silver coin featuring King George VI, minted at the Bombay Mint (Small Dot mintmark below the lotus). The obverse presents a crowned bust of King George VI with the inscription “GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR.” The reverse side shows “1/4 RUPEE INDIA 1940” encircled by an ornate floral wreath, with Urdu script below. Composed of 0.500 silver, the coin weighs approximately 2.92 grams and measures about 19 mm in diameter.
