Princely State Jaora 2 Paisa 1893 Copper Coin

This is a copper 2 Paisa coin from the Princely State of Jaora, issued in 1893 during the reign of Nawab Muhammad Ismail. One side shows a central Persian inscription with the legend “H.H. THE NAWAB OF JAORA” and the date 1893 around. The other side depicts a flag within a beaded circle, with the value and Hijri and Vikram Samvat dates in Persian and Nagari script around, all within ornamental scrollwork. Struck at the Jaora mint in machine‑made copper, this heavy 2 paisa (double paisa) piece is an attractive example of late 19th‑century Indian princely coinage.
