This is a British India 2 Rupees Reserve Bank of India note of King George VI, Pick 17b (Jhun&Rez 4.2.2), ND 1943, signed by C. D. Deshmukh.
The obverse shows the crowned portrait of King George VI at right, an ornate watermark panel at left, and “TWO RUPEES” in a decorative central cartouche, printed mainly in lilac‑pink with violet and green undertones.
The reverse carries “RESERVE BANK OF INDIA” above a central panel with “TWO RUPEES,” RBI seal, and a left oval containing the value in multiple Indian languages, plus a large blank watermark oval at right.
Security features include the King George VI portrait watermark, wide watermark area, intricate guilloches, and fine line engraving.
Graded by PMG as 64 Choice Uncirculated, the note is crisp and original with no circulation folds; the comment “Staple Holes at Issue” indicates tiny staple holes are from original RBI bundle stapling and not post‑issue damage.
