Muscat and Oman 1/4 Anna Copper Coin Faisal bin Turki AH 1315

This is an old 1/4 Anna copper coin from Muscat and Oman, made in the year AH 1315 (which is 1898 in the Western calendar). On one side, it says “Fessul bin Turkee Imam of Muscat and Oman” in English and Arabic. It also shows the coin’s value (1/4 Anna) and the year it was made. The other side has more Arabic writing and a leaf design around the edge.

This coin was made during the rule of Sultan Faisal bin Turki and was used as money in Oman a long time ago. The 1/4 Anna was a common small coin for daily use. These coins are now collected for their history and are a great example of Oman’s past.
