India Ten Rupees H V R Iyengar D-6 Note

This is a 10 Rupees Indian banknote issued by the Reserve Bank of India in 1958, bearing the signature of Governor H V R Iyengar. Distinguished by its vibrant purple color and classic post-independence design, it is a widely collected example from mid-century Indian paper money.

Obverse Features

• “RESERVE BANK OF INDIA” at the top and classic promise text: “I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of TEN RUPEES.”
• Denomination value printed in both English and Hindi (“दस रुपये”).
• The serial number “A 30 509795” appears twice, left and right.
• Signature: H V R Iyengar, RBI Governor from 1957–1962.
