Copper Coin of 1/2 Penny of 1826 of United Kingdom

This is a copper halfpenny of George IV from Great Britain dated 1826. The obverse shows the laureate bust of George IV facing left with the legend “GEORGIUS IV DEI GRATIA” and the date 1826 below. The reverse depicts helmeted Britannia seated right, holding a trident and resting her arm on a shield bearing the Union flag, with a rose, thistle and shamrock in the exergue and legend “BRITANNIAR: REX FID: DEF:”. The coin is round, about 28 mm in diameter and around 9.5 g in weight, a typical 2nd‑issue halfpenny of his reign.
