Bahamani Sultanate silver tanka of Taj ud-Din Firuz Shah, Hadrat Ahsanabad mint (AH 800-825/1397-1422 AD). Bold Kufic Arabic obverse legends proclaim “Al-sultan al-a’zam Taj al-dunya wa’l-din Firuz Shah,” praising the sultan as crown of world and faith. Reverse bears mint and date (often 8XX AH).
